Separation Agreements
A separation agreement is a contract between married people who have agreed to live separately from one another. A comprehensive separation agreement resolves all issues that could otherwise become the subject of a contested divorce trial - parenting provisions (child custody), child support, alimony (maintenance), equitable distribution of marital property and debts, etc. A valid separation agreement also becomes a no fault ground for divorce one year after it was signed.
